Here are the most frequently asked medical questions we have received from our customers. If you don't see your question answered here, contact us and we can help you out.

What do I do when in an emergency?

If you have an emergency after hours, you can call our emergency mobile number on (345) 547-2590 and one of our physicians will assist you. If your emergency is life-threatening or if you need paramedic assistance, please dial 911.

Can I use my Health Insurance Card?

We currently accept BritCay Health Insurance. We can bill BritCay directly and, provided that all deductibles and relevant criteria have been met, you will only be required to pay your co-pay (ordinarily 20%) at the time of service. If your medical insurance is held with another company, you will be required to pay your bill in full at the time of service. Keep checking back as we will be adding more companies to our approved list soon.

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept cash (both USD and KYD), cheques, debit cards and Visa or Mastercard credit cards. We are currently unable to accept American Express.

What are your fees?

We subscribe to the standard fees as set out by The Medical and Dental Council of the Cayman Islands.

How do I get a prescription refilled?

New patients must make an appointment with one of our doctors in order to be prescribed medication. Existing patients may make their request via telephone or come in to the practice. Please note that there is a CI $25.00 fee for ALL prescription refill requests without an appointment. Prescriptions WILL NOT be refilled until all the relevant criteria are met. Patients on maintenance and/or chronic medications must be up to date with their scheduled visits and routine lab work before receiving renewals.

Please do not wait until you have run out of your medication(s) - allow at least 48 hours for your request to be completely processed.

Do you do house calls?

Yes. We will schedule a house call with one of our physicians if circumstances prevent a patient from being able to make it into the clinic.

How do I get a referral for Physiotherapy or Chiropractic treatment?

You will need to make an appointment with one of the doctors for an assessment and they will write the referral for you at that time.

Do you do medicals for Immigration?

Yes. We do medicals for new work permits, renewals and permanent residency. Every case is different so please check with immigration as to their requirements before you come in for your appointment. We have the relevant forms here but they are available on the government website or via the link in our Forms section. You will need to fill out the first page.

What do I need to bring with me to my appointment?

You will need to bring a government issued ID, your health insurance card and any recent reports and test results from any other doctors that you may have seen. We will also need a list of all medications, both prescription and over the counter, that you have been taking as well as any supplements. If you are a known diabetic and are required to take your glucose readings at home, please bring this log with you. Patients with blood pressure problems are also required to bring their home logs to their visits.
